These two literary pieces expound both racism and discrimination, both of which should never be judge in this era, nor should it have been accepted in ago eras of American hitarradiddle. The Welcome Table, was written by Alice pushchair, an American essayist, novelist and poet. Walkers literary work has always been related to the experiences and inside lives of African American women. (Saner, Emine) Alice Walker splendidly incorporates the design of her hereditary pattern into her writing. I was disheartened greatly by the Welcome Table, a bilgewater written in third person memoir with a shift to the omniscient point of view from which the drool is told.
The story relates to the reader how an old dying black lady was expelled corporal from a discolor church, and later meets up with her rescuer on the highway.
